ISNSH Festival Of The Talents: EstudyaNTREPRENEUR 2022

Every human being has been blessed with different abilities, talents and capabilities. We differ from each other in that we have different interests and inclinations. One might be good at music but not in drawing, while another might be great at dancing but not at writing .These talents define a person as an artist, and any of the talents, when used efficiently, help create art.

To any artist, his art form is supreme and most meaningful. To a singer, music is the most beautiful art form while for a painter, the beauty in colors might be her idea of art. What this means is that to an artist, the most beautiful form of art is the one he/she practices. But this, in no way, means that other art forms are less significant. Each art form has its own depth, story, meaning and beauty which makes it stand out among others. It is often believed that a talented person can be a better judge of another talented person than a person with little or no knowledge of art. This belief is true. Real talent can identify other talents better. A person who has acquired the ability to be creative and innovative can squeeze every drop of meaning in every art form. For example, a person with no creative approach would not be able to appreciate the beauty in a dance form like a singer or writer probably would. This belief arises from the fact that once someone has been trained to look at things deeply and observe the creative aspects of art, he/she can use this ability to appreciate every art form.

So is every talented person born talented or have they been developed a certain way?

It might seem that people are born with talents like singing, dancing, painting and that it is not possible to learn them through practice. This is true only to a certain extent. Beyond that, inheritance does not play an important role. While naturally talented people do exist and are blessed, it is always possible to refine your art.

Lent Celebration

Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. It's a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord's Resurrection at Easter. During Lent, we seek the Lord in prayer by reading Sacred Scripture; we serve by giving alms; and we practice self-control through fasting. We are called not only to abstain from luxuries during Lent, but to a true inner conversion of heart as we seek to follow Christ's will more faithfully. We recall the waters of baptism in which we were also baptized into Christ's death, died to sin and evil, and began new life in Christ. Many know of the tradition of abstaining from meat on Fridays during Lent, but we are also called to practice self-discipline and fast in other ways throughout the season. Contemplate the meaning and origins of the Lenten fasting tradition in this reflection. In addition, the giving of alms is one way to share God's gifts—not only through the di...
